At Ace Roofing we generally stick to two roof venting options. The first, and cheapest is the standard plastic roof vent, also known as a FA50. These vents have proven themselves to be effective and reliable over many years. All our roofing estimates include sufficient ventilation using FA50 plastic vents.

The second option, a more expensive one, is the continuous ridge vent. Ridge vent products offer the most innovative, effective way to protect residential roofing from the deteriorating forces of excess heat and moisture build-up. Ridge vents provide continuous airflow along the ridge — the hottest part of the attic. We leave the decision to the customer. FA50 ventilation is sufficient and less expensive, though the plastic vents typically take away from the aesthetic appeal of a roof and therefore the house. Ridge venting is a more efficient form of ventilation which does a better job in preserving the integrity of the roof, it is hardly visible, but is somewhat more expensive than the FA50's.
